2023 Week 1 Term 1
Your School Encourages you to do things that you think you aren't capable of doing.
Make your first day of school count, achieve and believe in yourself.
Welcome to the 2023 School Year!
Dear Parents
We are delighted to welcome our established families and look forward to introducing everyone to new families in our next Newsletter. Monday 6 February 2023 sees the official start of ‘big school’ for our Kindergarten students. We cannot wait to welcome our Kindergarten parents, outside the Kindergarten classrooms on such a special day. A welcome morning cuppa will be held outside the Ogilvie Hall for those who would like to meet and catch up.
Thank you to all who booked into the MAI and Best Start testing days this week. These assessments form the basis of planning and programming for targeted Numeracy and Literacy, teaching and learning. We appreciate the time and effort it takes to have your children attend these days and thank you for your support. Please be assured that if your child missed their times for the MAI testing they will be assessed at school over the coming weeks.
UPDATING OF PERSONAL DETAILS
It is important that you advise the school Office 6585 1745 of any changes in details especially family updates, home address/email, address/phone numbers, pick up and drop off or medical updates. A message was forwarded to families as an Operoo note. If your require assistance, please email the Office. waup@lism.catholic.edu.au
Professional Learning Days
On Friday and Monday, we had the usual time to gather as a Staff on our Pupil Free days. Our teachers dived in boots and all to ensure the planning and professional learning for the year are on track and to make 2023 another great year at St Joseph's School.
Your children are in safe hands, as we begin a fresh year with a re-energised and positive group of professionals focussed on learning and teaching here at St Joseph's school.
All the very best to everyone for the year ahead. We look forward to working closely and collaboratively with all our families. May the road ahead be calm and fruitful for all.
School Fees
School Fee statements for Term 1, 2023 will arrive home next week. Direct Debits will automatically commence as of Monday 6 February 2023. If you wish to pay your fees via the Direct Debit system, please contact the school Office 6585 1745.
If you already use a Direct Debit payment plan and your family circumstances have altered, it is important for you to make contact with the Office. A child from your family may have entered High School, reducing the number of children attending our school or you have a child enrolled in Kindergarten adding a child for the number attending from your family. These changes impact the amount required for payment.
Peace be with you
