2025 Week 5 Term 2
A Heartfelt Thank You
I wish to extend our sincerest gratitude to all families for your incredible patience, understanding, and support during the recent challenging weather and flood event. Your resilience and cooperation have been truly appreciated as we navigated this unprecedented situation together.
We understand that the impact of flooding can be far-reaching. Please know that our school community is here to support you. If you or your family require any assistance or support, please contact me through the Office, 6585 1745. We are here to help in any way we can.
Afternoon Departure From School
We are excited to introduce our new School Departure Termly Form – a quick and easy way to communicate your child's end-of-day, pick-up or departure arrangements for the Term. This vital form allows the school to know exactly where your child should be each day, ensuring their safety and a smooth dismissal.
We understand that sometimes plans change or appointments are cancelled; therefore, your child's departure from school will be different from the regular routine. Rather than call the Office, an on-line Compass form will allow you to quickly and easily notify the school of a change to your child's departure plan for the current day only. This means no more last-minute phone calls to the Office, freeing up staff to focus on other essential duties and reducing the chance of miscommunication.

Tell Them From Me
The Tell Them From Me parent survey was sent out last week, and it's a vital tool for us. It collects your perspectives on our school and home learning, giving us insights into parent-staff communication, home activities, and how you view our support for learning and behaviour. This information creates a timely and accurate picture that directly informs our school improvement plans. The responses are quickly analysed, providing staff with data to identify key areas for growth.
We're thrilled that 36 families have already completed the survey – thank you!
If you haven't had a chance yet, we strongly encourage you to participate. To make it even more exciting, if our school reaches 100 completed surveys, every student will enjoy an extended lunch play on Friday May 30 2025! Your input truly helps shape our school's future.
Booking Appointments with Teachers
To facilitate effective communication, we kindly ask that you make an appointment in advance if you need to discuss any matters with your child's teacher. This will help ensure that our teachers can give you their full attention and address your concerns more effectively. If there is a concern that you require your child's teacher to be aware of that morning and you don't have an appointment, please get in touch with the front Office 6585 1745, and a message will be passed on. If you need to let your teacher know something that requires action on that day, please contact the front Office, as teachers do not always have the chance to read emails.
Baby News
We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredibly joyous news with our school community! Our wonderful Mrs. Howe and her husband, Jake, are excitedly awaiting the arrival of their first child later this year. The newest member of the Howe family is due to make their appearance in December!
This is truly wonderful news, and we know everyone will join us in extending our warmest congratulations to Mrs. Howe and Jake. We are all looking forward to celebrating with them as they embark on this exciting new chapter. We will keep you updated on their journey and look forward to welcoming the newest, tiniest member of our school family!
Sacramental Journey – Reconciliation & Eucharist
We hold in our prayers the students who are currently preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. This marks an important milestone in their faith journey as they come to know more deeply God’s love, forgiveness, and presence through the Eucharist.
As part of their preparation, students and their families will attend a Sacrament Reflection Evening on Tuesday 27 May 2025 at 5.00 pm. This evening offers a valuable opportunity for students to reflect on the meaning of the sacraments, while also providing guidance and support for parents during this special time.
The Inscription Mass for Reconciliation and Eucharist will take place this Saturday 31 May 2025. During the Mass, candidates will be formally presented to the parish community, marking the beginning of their commitment to the sacramental program.
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will take place on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at 5.00 pm, and the Sacrament of First Eucharist (First Holy Communion) will be celebrated on Sunday 22 June 2025 at 9.00 am.
We congratulate all students taking this important step, and we thank their families and our parish team for walking alongside them. May this be a time filled with grace, growth, and joy.
